Why is your AirPods red?
There are a number of reasons you might see a red light on your AirPods.
1#There is a Pairing Error.
If you see a flashing amber or red light on your AirPods case, you may have to use a different pair of headphones.
It is pretty easy to fix and you don’t need to worry about it. The only thing you have to do is change the batteries in the AirPods.
Here are the things you have to do.
- The case needs to be closed and the earpieces put back in. After about 30 seconds, open the lid, but don’t take out the headphones.
- To get your phone unlocked, go to settings > “Bluetooth“.
- Under my devices, you can find your AirPods.
- If you want to forget this device, tap on the info icon beside the name of your AirPods. To confirm, tap the word “Forget Device” again.
- Press the button at the back of the case to disengage the AirPods. You have to follow the setup wizard to connect your case again once you see a white light on it.
- You should take your AirPods to the Apple Store if you still see a red light.
2# It was an error storing AirPods.
It is possible that you will see a red light on your AirPods. You might mix the orientation of the AirPods.
If you accidentally exchange your case with someone else, you should store them. It can still happen, even though the chances are low.
To fix this, you just need to get your case back and the red light will go away.
3# There is outdated Firmware.
If you don’t keep your up-to-date, there might be a glitch. The AirPods flashing red is one glitch.
To prevent this from happening, make sure that you keep your up-to-date, and you won’t have to deal with any performance issues or bugs.
4# Low Battery
If your case has a red or amber light, your battery is low. This could be the battery of the case itself, or the earpieces, and you can quickly figure it out.
A red light on the case indicates that you need to charge the case. Before the case completely runs out of juice, you can get at least one more charge from the case.
You see an amber or red light on the case while the earpieces are inside, which means that the battery of the AirPods is low and that they are currently being charged.
If you don’t take them out until they’re fully charged, then the amber light will turn green.
If you see an amber or red light when you plug the case in, that’s a sign it’s charging If you leave the case plugged in until the red/amber light changes to green, it is better.
You can use the status lights on your AirPods to understand what is going on with them.
If this status light turns red, you don’t need to panic. In most cases, it is due to the low battery of the case or the inability to pair the AirPods.
Both of these problems are easy to fix, so you have nothing to worry about.
